User Information
Dear User,
This document is about the features and functionality of Online
Trading Facility through which you can online trade at the Lahore Stock Exchange
(G) Limited and the Karachi Stock Exchange (G) Limited through its corporate
member Abbasi Securities (SMC-Private) Limited. It intends to guide you with the
application about the trade screens available as well as different customization
options to customize the views according to your preferences, so that you can
use it more effectively.

Each application user is provided with a unique user name and
password.

|
User
has limited access to the application; however, all other market statistic views
are available.
|
|
|
|
For application login,
Enter user ID in the User Id field.
Enter password in the Password field.
Select server LSE and KSE, respectively for each login.
Press the ENTER key or click OK button.
Clicking Cancel button asks to exit from the application and will exit on
selecting Yes.
|
|
|
|
First of all, Terminal tries to connect with the Trading Server.
In case, if it fails to connect with the Server,
Connection Failed
message appears. The connection may fail due to having temporary Server shutdown
or some communication channel failure. On successful connection with the server,
user’s login id and password is verified.
|

|
|
Invalid User Id / Password:
|
|
|
|
In case of invalid User Id or password,
Login Failed
message appears stating that either user id or password is not correct.
|
|
|
|
In case when a user is not allowed to use Online View Facility
application,
Login Failed
message appears stating that the user has not been configured to use the
application.
|
|
|
|
After successful login,
Main Application Window
appears.
|
|
|
|
File Menu
|
|
This option shows different types of messages intended for the
user. The messages might include login confirmations, password change
confirmations etc. In addition to showing these messages on Message Board, these
are also saved in a messages file. The file contains messages for current
session only and can be viewed by using Messages option in the file menu. After
opening the Messages file, these messages can also be printed.

|
User can exit from the application by selecting exit option.
Before exit, it saves current application settings for different views and these
settings are restored next time the application is started.
|
|
|
|
This opens the main stock market trade screen which is a replica
of the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) terminal and Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE)
terminal. When you open the Market View, Right click the mouse for four options
(Symbol list, column options, color and font). Abbasi and Company (Private)
Limited will provide you a standard trade screen; you can adjust the trade
screen to suit your needs and requirements in term of information. This screen
shows you the price at which the market opens, buying and selling volumes at the
market price, buying volume at a lower price and selling volume at a higher
price, last trade price, total turnover and change in price.

It will show the different transactions that are taking place in
the exchange at that time. The visual effect is of a waterfall because the
colors change with each trade and the flow is continuous. Right clicking the
mouse will again open options to adjust the screen according to your needs.
|
|
|
|
This screen will show the price movement of the selected stock at
certain timeline, over seconds and minutes.
|
|
|
|
This window will provide information about the KSE Index and LSE
Index, current index, total turnover for the day, last index, net change, high
and low index for that day, securities movement, and monetary volume. Right
clicking the mouse will again open options to adjust the screen according to
your needs.

|
|
This option is made visible automatically at the start of the
application and provides different types of messages to keep the User aware of
different events happening in Karachi Stock Exchange and Lahore Stock Exchange.
These messages are also saved in a messages file that can be viewed by using
Messages Log option in File menu. If Message Board is closed, it reopens
whenever a new message arrives.

Buy Order: |
|
|
|
Client can place a buy order in the stock market through this
window in accordance with the following procedure: |
|
|
|
1. |
Type in the stock symbol, rate and quantity for the stock you wish to purchase.
Be aware of the cap, lower lock and margin rules at the time of placing the
volume, otherwise your order will be rejected.The
default setting of this option is for a limit order; Click on order type to
select a stop loss order or M/T or market. |
|
2. |
Selecting the stop loss option in the buy window would mean that
you are short in the stock market. If the market goes up to the trigger price
indicated by you Abbasi and Company (Private) Limited will automatically create
a buy order for you. You can only short the KSE in the futures contract. |
|
3. |
Disclosed volume option is used to manipulate the market. If you
are placing a buy order of 100,000 shares and you don’t want to disclose the
total bid, through this facility you can show only the indicated quantity in the
stock market. |
|
4. |
Once you have typed in all the necessary information, click on
the buy option. The system will re-confirm your order. Click on send again and
the buy order will be processed by Abbasi and Company (Private) Limited and
passed on to the Stock Exchange of your Choice for execution. |
|
5. |
Check on the Message window for update on the buy order. You will
get an Exchange order number indicating that the order is in the Stock Exchange. |
|
6. |
Wait for your trade confirmation. |
|
|
If you wish to sell a stock that you have already bought, the
sell order should be used. This widow also shows the best market price and last
trade price etc. for the selected market and symbols. |
|
|
|
1. |
The process is the same as with the buy order.
|
|
2. |
If you are not holding a certain stock and you try to sell it in
the market, the system will reject your order. |
|
3. |
You can short the stock market using this sell option but only in
the futures contract. Beware that the contract only lasts for one month and you
have to square you position otherwise Abbasi and Company (Private) Limited will
square it for you on the first settlement day of the futures contract.

4. |
You can also use the sell option for putting a stop loss in the
stock market. If you have a buy position in the market, placing a stop loss
order ensures that if the market goes against you, your losses will be limited.
One important point to note is that neither Abbasi and Company (Private) Limited
nor the Karachi Stock Exchange guarantees that your stop losses will be executed
at the indicated price. |

After having placed a buy order, you change your mind; this
option can be used to cancel the order. |
|
1. |
Whenever you place a bid or offer in the system, your message
screen will indicate an order number.
|
|
2. |
To cancel an outstanding order, click on this option. Feed in the
order number and cancel the trade.
|
|
3. |
Another way to cancel the order is to go to the outstanding
order. Highlight the order that you wish to cancel, left click the mouse and the
cancel window will automatically select the highlighted trade.
|
|
|
|
|
This screen will show all bids and offers presently positioned in
the system. Whenever a new order is placed, it appears in the outstanding orders
view and remains there as long as it is not traded. The is a very helpful screen
as it shows buy and sell orders in different colours in the view and from here
they can be also selected for cancellation. Right clicking the mouse will again
open options to adjust the screen according to your needs. |

Similar screen to outstanding orders, but if you have several
trades fed into the system, the order summary will separate these trades with
respect to the stock symbol that you request. Right clicking the mouse will
again open options to adjust the screen according to your needs. |

|
The option keeps record of all the current day executed trades. |
|
|
|

Each trade is shown individually in order of execution. |
|
2. |
Details of the symbol, side, executed volume, trade price, client
account, Abbasi and Company (Private) Limited trade number and the Stock
Exchange trade number.
|

3. |
Refresh the window data by right clicking the mouse and
refreshing. |
|
4. |
Right clicking the mouse will again open options to adjust the
screen according to your needs. |
|
|
|
|
1. |
The transaction summary option summarizes the day trading with
respect to the script giving the averages of the trading.
|
|
2. |
This list with the average prices helps you to assess your
account position throughout the trading session. |
|
3. |
You can compare your positions against the current market prices.
|
|
4. |
Remember to refresh the window data by right clicking the mouse
and refreshing. |
|
5. |
Right clicking the mouse will again open options to adjust the
screen according to your needs. |
|
|
|
|
|
This option will allow you to select the real time graph of any
stock that you choose. You have the ability to control the variable on the
y-axis and can view the graph on a 5 paisa difference to a Rs. 25 difference.
This can help you to evaluate the movements of an individual stock of your
choice. |
|
|
|
This option will allow you to select the real time graph of KSE
Index and LSE Index. You have the ability to control the variable on the y-axis
and can view the graph on a 1 point difference to 200 points difference. This
can help you to evaluate the movements of the overall market.

|
1. |
The current portfolio gives you details of your outstanding
positions for a selected clearing type.
|
|
2. |
The symbol, total buying and selling, net holding, current price,
market price, average price, total cost of the stock thus leads to the
unrealized profit or loss on the stock. |
|
3. |
We recommend you to check this window before selling a position
to determine either you in profit or loss.
|
|
4. |
If you have taken a position in Carrey Over Transaction then
average purchase price quoted is calculated from the COT rollover price and not
the price that you originally bought it at. The profit or loss on that price
will be included in your cash balance while the position was rolled over. |

Margin Report |
|
|
|
This option gives you a view of:
|
|
|
|
1. |
Your cash balance, custody balance and available margin balance. |
|
2. |
Utilized margin balance in different categories and total margin
utilized up till now. |
|
3. |
The net margin available for further trading. |
|
4. |
The pending order shows the number of your positions, which are
already lined up in the stock market. |
|
5. |
The billed and unbilled quantities of the listing refer to the
settlement issue that whether or not a trade has been settled in the Stock
Exchange. The net position of the billed/unbilled minus the pending order is
shown in the available margin column. |
|
6. |
This option also lists your custody and positions in COT. |
|
7. |
Refresh the window data by right clicking the mouse and
refreshing.
|
|
|
|
|
It is an extremely useful tool for day traders to evaluate their
daily profit or loss. |
|
|
|
1. |
This report will generate the total daily trading and give you
the daily profit or loss. |
|
2. |
You also have the option to print this report.
|
|
|
|
|
The net custody position gives you detail of the deliveries in
your account, including total buying and selling of a stock and the net quantity
available in your account.
|
|
|
|
This option will provide a report of your complete account
movement from any period of time that you feed in |
|
|
|
1. |
You can fetch report from the time you opened the account or just
get the data for one week’s transactions.
|
|
2. |
You can view your complete account or specific stocks traded (If
you will not feed in any stock symbol, the system will give you detail of your
entire account).
|
|
3. |
The report will show the market type, trade type, trade number,
settlement day, trade date, quantity, rate, amount, brokerage, tax and net
amounts of the transactions.
|
|
|
|
|
This report will generate a summary of the entire trading done in
your account. The system will show you: |
|
|
|
1. |
Total trading done over the specific period of time in all
stocks.
|
|
2. |
The security name, symbol, quantity, amount, brokerage, tax and
the net amount.
|
|
3. |
This summary can also be printed. |
|
|
|
|
We recommend that the first thing you do is to change the
password that you receive in your software package. Over a period of time,
continue this practice as a precautionary measure. |
|
|
|
Here you feed in the stocks symbol and the price limits on the
upside and downside. Immediately, when that price of a certain stock has touched
the indicated levels the system will pop up a window as an indicator.
|
|
|
|
This option gives you the names of the company and their symbols.
The stocks are arranged in alphabetical order for your convenience.
